Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She also serves as the head of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely known for starting modern scientific studies of the memory of children as eyewitnesses as well as the role of children victims in court settings. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer who has received numerous prizes and grants. She has consulted with numerous governments and agencies throughout the globe on policy and studies on child victims in the legal system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center, formerly The Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has memberships with numerous professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman belongs to Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding member and International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has been president of The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division and three Divisions of the Child and Family Practice and Policy Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
